I’ve been spending a lot of time perusing Flickr as of late. Not only is it a fantastic way to share my photographic work with others but it’s also a tremendous source of inspiration. I came across an interesting discussion last week where users were asked to post their ‘best’ photograph of 2007. Intrigued by this very subjective and thought-provoking question I spent some time over the weekend browsing through my work from the year gone by. I was pleased to discover that the past twelve months brought marked improvements to my work. It was a year of learning and experimentation which resulted in some beautiful pieces and remarkable memories.
In keeping with the ‘best of’ theme, I decided to post a series of my photographs for you, the reader, to vote on. Below, in no particular order, is what I believe to be a representative cross-section of my shots from the year 2007. Please post your thoughts and comments. All feedback is welcome. I will ponder the question for a couple of weeks and then choose a ‘winner’ based on my own thoughts and popular reader opinion. The selected photograph will be posted in its full glory with an accompanying written commentary on the subject matter, the experience and what the picture means to me. Have fun!
